We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Donor Experience Fundraising Manager with a strong focus on creating engaging donor journeys and effective donor mapping strategies to enhance our digital fundraising efforts and strengthen donor relationships. This is a remote position.

The expected pay range is $85,000 - $95,000.Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.

As the Donor Experience Fundraising Manager, you will develop, implement, and optimize data-informed digital strategies that enhance every stage of the donor lifecycle—from awareness and engagement to conversion and retention. Leveraging donor journey mapping, you will identify opportunities to improve touchpoints, personalize communications, and maximize the impact of each interaction. You will collaborate closely with digital fundraising managers, business technology teams, marketing departments, and external digital agencies to ensure alignment and deliver integrated campaigns that achieve measurable results.

Donor Journey Development:

- Design and implement comprehensive donor journeys that guide donors and prospects through the awareness, consideration, and conversion stages.
- Analyze donor touch-points and interactions to optimize the journey and increase conversion rates.

Donor Mapping:
- Create detailed donor maps that outline key interactions, preferences, and behaviors of different donor segments.
- Utilize donor data to identify opportunities for personalized engagement and targeted communications.

Digital Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, website, and on-line advertising.
- Collaborate with the content manager and digital agencies to create compelling messaging and storytelling that resonates with donors.

Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, donor engagement levels, and conversion rates to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize analytics tools to generate insights that inform future marketing strategies and donor journey optimization.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with the direct response team to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment of fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed to enhance digital marketing initiatives.

Innovation and Best Practices:
- Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing and donor engagement.
- Propose and implement innovative strategies to enhance donor experiences and engagement.

• Bachelor's Degree in Nonprofit Managment, Marketing, Communications, or a related area.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in digital marketing, focusing on donor engagement and retention strategies.
• Expertise in creating and optimizing donor journeys, including donor mapping techniques, with examples of successful implementation.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools, including email marketing platforms, social media, SEO, and analytics.
• Experience with website landing pages designed to drive conversions.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Experience or understanding of nonprofit environments; Salesforce experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, platform dashboards, PowerPoint, Canva, and Shutterstock.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal staff, vendors, and external stakeholders like volunteers or partners.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans, adapting based on data insights.
