The right Dolly Parton Experience Host checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.
This role exists to create a welcoming and educational experience for Dolly Parton Experience Guests, and provide information to facilitate the self-guided tours through the entire Dolly Parton Experience. The Dolly Parton Experience will hereafter be referred to as the DPE. This role is designated to have a high focus on positive Guest interactions including, but no limited to, answering questions, exuding a positive countenance and demonstrating an overall enthusiastic demeanor as part of a world-class team. The DPE Host will also participate in the sanitizing and cleaning of high touch points in and around the DPE, Dolly’s Home on Wheels, Tennessee Mountain Home, and future experiences added to the DPE.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.
Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Greet Guests, accurately count attendance, and monitor queue lines as needed
- Sanitize all high touch points in and around the DPE on a pre-determined schedule
- Verbally communicate and enforce DPE entrance rules
- Assist Guests with information about various areas of the DPE
- Operate system controls to properly power exhibits on and off
- Keep the DPE, Dolly’s Home on Wheels and Tennessee Mountain Home clean throughout the day, including dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning glass as needed
- Maintain entertainment signage as needed
- Assist with keeping break rooms, storage areas, and supply closets clean and organized
- Complete daily reports and Guest surveys
- Assist with special DPE functions and assignments as needed
- Provide accurate park information to Guests through participation and implementation of continued education
- Maintain strict confidentiality, with regard to communication and all information, about Dolly Parton’s personal or professional life, her public and non-public visits to Dollywood and her public and private dealings with Dollywood and/or HFE between any and all parties outside of this position’s reporting structure

Education and Experience Required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer experience required
- Excellent verbal and written communicator – consistent and detailed
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check

- Able to make a friendly impression when speaking to or corresponding with Guests, vendors, and other employees

- Able and willing to handle a high volume of Guests at DPE without creating unnecessary/unproductive stress in the workplace
- Able and willing to use self-reflection to be accountable as a member of a world-class team
- Must be comfortable with public speaking to a large crowd during an emergency situation
- Must be able and willing to periodically scan the venue to ensure the safety of our Guests
