- Our next staff member will work primarily in Wicker Park. We service Albany Park, Andersonville, Avondale, Bucktown, Buena Park, Edgewater, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Logan Square, North Center, Old Town, Palmer Square, Ravenswood, Rosecoe Village, Wicker Park, Wrigleyville, Uptown, and nearby communities. A staff member is not expected to work in all of these areas.
- Our next staff member will need to be available Wednesday to Monday from 9am to 3pm.
- Staff members will start with a lighter schedule but after onboarding is complete, you could work 15-20 hours per week.
Compensation:
$18 - $20 / hour
$1500 - $1750 / month
- Starting pay for 30-minute visits is $12 (including travel compensation of $1.50 per visit), and the company average, excluding tips, is $13.69 per 30-minute visit.
- The holiday rate is an additional $6 per visit (visits from late December to New Year's Day).
- Regular performance reviews with compensation increases.
- 100% of client gratuity. Most staff members earn an additional 10% of gross income in tips.
- Bonuses of $50 for client reviews on Yelp and Google.
- All supplies provided. Reimbursed parking, but the need to pay to park is limited.
The responsibilities:
- You will work independently, but our management team is ready to support you.
- We expect staff to go above and beyond with the pets in our care, clients, and the community.
- Safety is our priority. You will be responsible for fostering a safe and positive walking environment for our clients' dogs.
- Follow detailed cat-care instructions provided by our clients.
- After training, you are expected to be able to work with our mobile apps, Time to Pet and Slack.
- Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player. We are here to support each other.
- We practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned visits. We often provide feedings and medications to our clients' pets.
- You are the person your friends call to care for their own dogs or cats.
- You are honest, kind, and professional.
- You have a good sense of humor and can smile with our pets!
- You know how to get around Chicago. Please check out our service map! Please note that you will not be expected to cover the entire service area in a day.
- Evenings are not required, but we will have special consideration for candidates with evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
- This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their professional experience with dogs. Many members of our staff were previously dog walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
