Dog Trainer

We are looking for a Dog Trainer to join our team.  Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and engaged. This person will be responsible for training dogs within the facility.

Responsibilities:

• Meet dogs and create individual training plan for the dog
• Understand a pet parent’s needs and listen to their concerns
• Teach pet parents about dog behavior
• Teach commands to the dog and pet parent
• Treat all dogs with compassion and dignity
• Teach pet parents how to reinforce good behavior
• Communicate clearly with pet parents and other staff members
• Follow procedures for the safe handling of all pets

Requirements:

• Professional dog training experience
• Knowledge of different dog breeds
• Excellent communication skills and customer service.
• Flexible schedule.
• Treat all animals with compassion and dignity.
• Preferably hold a certificate(s) showing continuing education in the industry
