We need a Documentum Business Systems Analyst / Developer for a 9+ month contract in Long Beach, CA.
Our client would prefer that this person work in a HYBRID manner, with part time onsite presence in Long Beach, but this is not mandatory. however, we would still prefer a resource who lives in the southern CA.
Position Summary :
The client's Information Management Division is seeking an experienced Documentum Business System Analyst to support the client's Documentum, Electronic Document and Records Management System.
This Consultant position requires an individual with a minimum of 6 years of technical work experience specifically with Documentum. The position is the primary technical support person for this system.
Key responsibilities include providing technical support & maintenance of the client's Documentum and eRoom systems.
Essential Duties:
1. Support & maintenance of Documentum stack which includes Documentum Server 21.x, Webtop, Documentum Administrator, Records Client, CARA, DFC, REST, & Content Transformation Services.
2. Documentum server patching, custom jobs & usage reports.
3. Collaborate with business to understand and document requirements; translate into technical specifications.
4. Plan and facilitate integrations with other applications.
5. Ensure Index management is functional and returns adequate results upon searching.
6. Ensure the high availability environment is healthy and functional.
7. Configure Documentum components to meet project requirements.
8. Optimize performance and ensure system stability. Identify and address performance bottlenecks; configure Documentum for efficient operation.
9. Develop custom components/modules for Webtop, CARA.
10. Update permissions on the documents/folders on as-needed basis depending on user requests.
11. Plan and execute data migrations between Documentum and non-Documentum environments; ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
12. Responsible for support, maintenance & upgrades of eRoom application.
13. Provide expertise in issue resolution and system troubleshooting. Collaborate with Service Desk to address technical challenges/defects in Documentum or eRoom.
14. Develop training materials for End-users and Administrators. Create comprehensive system documentation.
15 . Interact with Documentum and eRoom software vendors for support and updates. Stay informed about new releases and features and ensure the systems are on the certified platform.
16. Work closely with Project Managers, NOC/SOC, Service Desk and other stakeholders. Responsible for ensuring coordination across teams.
17. Implement the best practices and improvements to enhance system efficiency.
18. Provide regular status reports on project health and progress. Identify and communicate any roadblocks/risks, and escalate as needed to the project sponsor and/or management
Required Knowledge and Experience :
1. OpenText Documentum 21.x or above
2. Documentum Webtop, D2, DA, Records Manager, xPlore, CTS, xCP, DFC, REST
3. CARA 3.12.x
4. SQL, Java, XML technologies.
5. Familiarity with cloud deployments
6. Solid analytical / problem-solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems
7. Strong understanding of software development life cycle processes and controls
8. System integration experience with requirements, design, testing and implementation
9. Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills, Education and Certifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, management information systems or equivalent.
2. 10+ years of overall IT and business application maintenance experience
3. Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
