About the Job
Job Responsibilities:
- This role (CMS) is to support the Hydro West project teams with configuration and document management. The CMS will ensure the project integration phase meets and/or exceeds the project objectives on safety, environmental, regulatory compliance, scope.
- The CMS must be capable of communicating and coordinating with various work groups, including contractors, to achieve project objectives.
- The project manager and technical team will be responsible for designing technical information, the CMS will help capture these designs for future use. The project technical team will define and communicate details and the CMS will coordinate. It is not expected for the CMS to know this information, but it is expected for them to be able to document information provided to them with the help and support of the technical team:
- Technical team provides list of equipment requiring labels. CMS makes and installs these labels.
- Technical team provides updates required to LOTO database. CMS to coordinate this information with operations to update LOTO database then ensures correct numbers from this coordination are shown on drawings and procedures.
- Coordinate with operations and technical team to update processes that were impacted by project.
- Coordinate with operations and technical team to update spare part listings that were impacted by the project.
- Coordinate with operations and technical team to update equipment databases that were impacted by the project.
- Help PM track and gather information needed to be entered into NERC checklists.
- Coordinate with PM and operations to setup any vendor supplied training required from project changes.
- Coordinate with PM and operations to update vendor maintenance programs/plans.
- Coordinate with PM and operations to obsolete inventory no longer required.
- The CMS will be responsible for managing documents created during projects. This requires:
- Coordination with contract engineers to ensure compliance document management rules and processes during design phase.
- Obtaining red line drawings from implementation team during and after construction.
- Coordinating drafting to pick up redlines.
- Obtain checker/approver of final as built drawings.
- Issue as built drawings in document storage system including completing a spreadsheet of criteria used to issue drawings.
- Ensure all vendor supplied manuals, technical documents and training material are captured in online configuration management and storage tools.
- Printing hard copy sets of as built drawings, vendor supplied manuals, technical documents and training material and bringing to plants.
- This role will also have responsibilities with:
- Supporting configuration management tool, ACT.
- Managing plotters at plant locations.
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in configuration management or document management.
- Experience with construction specifications and drawings.
- Experience with red line/as built drawings.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft office suite.
- Exposure to CAD programs.
- Exposure to construction and generating station systems and equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of safety culture.
