Position Location: Remote, Dallas / Chicago preferred 30% Travel.
Position Overview:
This Divisional Human Resources Leader will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a broad understanding of HR regulations and practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement workforce strategies aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Oversee and manage a team of HR professionals across multiple locations.
- Lead collective bargaining negotiations and maintain positive labor relations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations including governance of employment policies.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Manage talent acquisition including seasonal and temporary opportunities.
- Serve as a trusted partner to leaders supporting quality execution of talent acquisition, performance management, training & development and succession planning programs.
- Develop Human Resources team skills and technical acumen. Organize and manage workflows for strong service levels and efficiency.
- Analyze talent metrics, bring relevant insights and recommended improvement actions to business leaders.
- Service on Human Resources Leadership Team and partner with Gibraltar Industries, Inc. Corporate Human Resources function.
- Leader of business transformation for organizational design, change management, and communication plans.
- Full cycle M&A experience from due diligence to full integration.
- Experience in all facets of the Human Resources life cycle from strategy to employee exit.
- Ability to coach leaders at all levels of the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in HR Business Partner capacity with at least 5 years in the US industrial sector. Experience in both manufacturing and corporate settings strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing direct reports required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to quickly connect with diverse teams, actively listen and convey information in impactful manner.
- Solid knowledge of collective bargaining with prior labor relations experience.
- Proven ability to prioritize and deliver results for diverse set of stakeholders.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, Master's degree preferred.
- Domestic travel 30%.
