About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Divisional Business Office Manager to oversee the business office operations for 8-10 nursing home facilities in the Central FL area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare finance, with a focus on long-term care operations. This role is essential in ensuring efficient billing, collections, financial reporting, and resident account management across multiple locations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business offices at multiple nursing home facilities, ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
- Lead and mentor Business Office Managers (BOM) at each facility, providing guidance on financial management, billing procedures, and collections.
- Manage accounts receivable, including Medicaid/Medicare billing, private pay, and insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Coordinate with facility administrators and clinical teams to ensure proper documentation and communication for billing purposes.
- Develop and implement standardized processes across facilities to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance at each location, providing reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in audits, state inspections, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between the corporate office, facility administrators, and external stakeholders regarding business office matters.
- Ensure customer service excellence for residents and their families in handling billing inquiries and payment issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business office management, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
- Experience managing multiple facilities or regions is strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party payer systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clinical, administrative, and financial teams.
- Proficiency in healthcare billing software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel locally to each facility as needed.
