**Job Summary**
The District Technical Representative is responsible for enforcing an acceptable and uniform level of quality on Company projects inspected throughout the assigned districts. This position works closely with the Director Technical and Product Services Group, Regional and Territory Sales Managers, Independent Reps, the Siplast Corporate office (HQ), and Siplast Plants. The District Technical Representative serves in a line position and reports to the National Field Tech Manager. and/or the Regional Field Tech Manager.
**Essential Duties**
+ Roof/Field Duties - Project Inspections- Provide the following duties to the assigned sales territories (within the technical district) by rotating time as needed. This generally includes overnight travel, depending on the geographic scope of the territory.- Perform job start, interim, final, extended warranty and complaint calls, roof or project inspections, and document appropriately (letter, report, data entry in CCR database, etc.)- Verify Guarantee Application information on jobs inspected.- Enforce proper application techniques.- Enforce proper installation of details.- Note application discrepancies and recommend repair procedures.- Take photographs as needed.- Ensure that all inspected projects have an Application for Roof Guarantee.- Perform 60% of the final inspections in the assigned technical district.- Perform 100% of the final inspections for "C-level" contractors.- Display a positive, professional customer service manner and approach.
+ Roof/Field Duties - Contractor Training- Train contractors and Siplast sales personnel in the proper application of Siplast products; demonstrate with a "hands-on" approach. Place special emphasis on "C-level" contractors to develop and improve their status to "A or B level".- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the roofing contractor, consultant/specifier, and owner.- Recommend best details, application, and procedures on jobs inspected.- Conduct hands-on training for Terapro contractors at their yard prior to their first job or application of a new surfacing variant.- Assist the sales process with product demonstrations and sales training when requested and necessary.- Administrative Duties - District Administration and Management- Monitor all "product installed" complaints and ensure they are closed in a timely manner.- Type letters and Activity Reports and submit to Siplast HQ for approval.- Replicate, read and respond to emails daily. Check and respond to voicemail messages throughout the day.- Communicate concerns, project updates, and schedules with all parties on a regular basis.- Initiate weekly phone contact with National and/or Regional Field Technical Manager and weekly scheduled phone meetings with sales personnel, providing them with a tech schedule.- Create and submit Final Inspection Report to Siplast HQ within 24 hours.- Enter itinerary in Lotus Notes database by Tuesday at noon and update as schedule changes.
+ Budget Management- Review expenses monthly. Keep all controllable expenses (promo, travel, phone, etc.) within budget. Discuss unusual or unforeseen expenses with manager immediately.- Submit expense reports in Workday per Company Travel & Expense Policies.
+ Field Safety- Participate in Siplast safety training & complete quizzes by deadlines- Adhere to Job Site Safety Practices & Mfg. Plant Safety Practices- Wear appropriate PPE for jobsite & manufacturing facilities (i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, reflective vest, work boots, gloves, appropriate clothing, etc.)- Exercise rooftop & ladder safety precautions- Adhere to company policies concerning driver safety and cell phone usage (i.e. use of hands-free devices, no texting while driving, etc.)- Exercise safe driving practices- Follow jobsite safety standards as prescribed by contractor or building owner- Report a job-related injury to HR immediately
**Qualifications Required**
+ HS Diploma/GED or 5+ years of sales experience in related field or industry, such as the roofing, building, or construction industry, Required
+ 5+ years of experience handling client/customer relationships Required
+ Ability to travel as necessary
+ Ability to have and maintain a Company credit card for business-related expenses
+ DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record Required

Annual Salary Range: 72,000-99,000
