District Manager 2 - Sodexo

Role Overview:

Creating solutions for everything from dining and nutrition to facilities maintenance and rehabilitative services, Sodexo partners with government agencies and military organizations to improve people’s quality of life and make a positive impact.

 

Sodexo is seeking a District Manager, who will be responsible for maintaining an excellent client relationship and ensuring high customer service standards with DECA (Defense Commissary Agency) Deli Bakery Operations located on the East Coast, from Maine to Georgia.

 

This District Manager is a remote based position that will oversee 34 units along the East Coast.   The District Manager will report directly to the Vice President, Operations and directly oversee a management team of over 30 salaried managers.  This individual will be directly responsible for over 40M in annual managed volume throughout all the sites. This individual would provide operational oversight at the direction of the VPO and will provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business.

 

The ideal candidate would reside on the east cost, preferable in the mid-atlantic region.  There is travel involved in this position throughout the district which would require site visits roughly 50% of the time.  We are seeking candidates who will actively engage our customers to strategically take our programs to the next level.  

 

What You'll Do:

• Work with each client and the Vice President in all matters relating to contract and account operations in order to establish and maintain a solid and mutually beneficial business relationship that ensures account retention. 
• Develops a business plan and budget for the accounts with the General Manager's.
• Ensure the execution of product and service quality by maintaining highest level of delivery
• Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives as well as create a positive work environment
• Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the assigned geographic area through subordinate managers, supervisors and employees including financial performance, client retention, and employee training and development.

What You Bring:

• A work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous leadership experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
• A background in Grocery Retail and/or Deli Bakery management experience is a must;
• Experience managing multiple priorities and large teams, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for exceptional customer service and client relations;
• The ability to prioritize tasks, possess emotional intelligence and foster a culture of inclusion.
