District Maintenance (8 hours per day/260 days per year) - Russell Independent School District

TITLE:   District Maintenance

REPORTS TO:   Maintenance Supervisor

JOB GOAL:  To help maintain the physical school plants' condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintenance, repair and construction of district buildings and equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Crew Chief.
• Work in one or more building maintenance trades.
• Assist other maintenance personnel with a variety of maintenance, repair and construction tasks.
• Supervise and assist in maintaining district tools and machinery.
• Operate various types of maintenance machinery, tools and equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

• Holds a valid Kentucky Driver’s License.                             
• Holds a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

• Satisfactory completion of State mandated health examination.

Evaluation:

• Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Terms of Employment:

• Salary commensurate with the Russell Independent Schools Classified Salary Schedule
