About the Job
Spherion is hiring a Distributor Sales Representative for their client in the oil/lubrication industry! The territory they are looking to fill covers the state of Indiana. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to central Indiana for consideration.
The Distributor Sales Representative is responsible for the sale of lubricants, related products, and services in a specified geography. He/she will use market, product, and customer knowledge to identify sales opportunities, uncover and develop the customer's needs, articulate the value of the offer to the customer, negotiate and close the sale, and manage implementation. He or she will use effective communication skills to build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers at customer locations and leverage these relationships to uncover business or technical problems that can be solved with our products and services. This individual must have effective computer skills to generate sales reports, develop customer presentations, and manage their sales pipeline.
Responsibilities:
-Meet goals and objectives established by management
-Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline -developing, updating, maintaining, and communicating the account plan
-Develop and maintain close relationships with vendors and customers
-Manage price changes
-Maintain thorough knowledge of ExxonMobil products, product applications, and technical services
-Maintain awareness of competitor products
-Utilize technical resources to solve complex problems and make product recommendations that solve lubrication problems
-Optimize territory resources (time, budget, sales tools) in order to maximize results
-Utilize vendor marketing programs and services to increase sales
-Comply with company business conduct and ethics
-Commitment to safety, health, environmental, and operations integrity
-Timely response to customer needs
-Timely submittal of work, which is free from error
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
-Computer experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
-Ability to work well both independently and as a team member.
-Ability to build strong relationships with decision-makers and influencers at customer locations.
-Leverage relationships to uncover business or technical problems that can be solved with our product offering.
-Strong interpersonal skills.
-Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products, product applications, and technical services.
-Show initiative by carrying out the activities of the sales position; monitoring and ensuring quality and thoroughness of own work while refraining from devoting effort to non-productive details.
-Plan own work schedule, set and monitor personal performance goals, and take action to accomplish those goals.
-Effectively adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and sudden or frequent changes in priorities, in order to accomplish objectives.
-Execute decision-making & judgmental skills necessary to arrive at conclusions that result in productive, profit-making, or cost-reducing actions.
-Work performance must be complete, free from errors, and analytical soundness.
-Write and speak clearly, concisely, and persuasively. This may involve either formal presentations or more informal communications.
-Use creativity to generate innovative ideas and solutions
-Adhere to safe driving rules and regulations

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Bachelor?s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
-Business-to-business (B2B) sales experience required
