About the Job
The Distribution Supervisor position reports to the Distribution Manager responsible for the location. The Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the distribution of our product in the local market, ensuring the efficient and timely distribution of our products to customer locations. This role holds principal accountabilities for functional planning, dispatching, customer, and internal communication regarding route coverage and operation daily.
Successful candidates for this role will possess the following demonstrated successful qualifications, experiences, and abilities:
- Coordinating and planning successful execution of delivery routes while fostering a team atmosphere that works together to achieve common goals.
- Supervision and coordination all activities of distribution staff, including scheduling, training, and monitoring performance.
- Ensuring all distribution processes are completed accurately and timely and all customer deadlines and requirements are met.
- Facilitate resolution of customer supply problems in conjunction with Sales staff
- Continuously analyzes and evaluates distribution processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where necessary.
- Demonstrated experience managing fleet assets, including oversight of vehicle maintenance program and vendor relationship management.
- Proven track record of managing accountability with all company quality and safety policies, including federal, state, and local DOT safety compliance.
- Demonstrated success in recording driver assignments, delivery times, and other transportation data in ERP databases to ensure compliance with customer demands.
- Performing quality assurance audits monthly, including traveling to local markets.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants will possess the following skillset:
- Class A CDL plus two years of driving experience and ability to meet insurability requirements required.
- 2+ Years in Logistics based Leadership Role strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field is strongly preferred. High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Ability to travel by driving to sites within the local market alone daily, required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical problem-solving, and team leadership skills are required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based ERP systems is required.
- Physical abilities to operate a commercial motor vehicle or merchandise product within a store location.
