Distribution Specialist Supply Chain - Steak n Shake

Primary and Ongoing Accountabilities

• Manages relationships with distributors and all external parties that supply products or service to the Steak N Shake system.
• Monitors new product launches, LTO’s pricing communications and for both seasonal and forecasting on supplies.
• Holds weekly meetings with distribution centers and communicates to the system changes in delivery, service and product availability.
• Manages phase out of any replacement product through distribution network.
• Ensures ongoing, continuous uninterrupted product supply to the restaurants.
• Interacts with Research & Development, Quality Assurance, Op’s support services, Marketing, Finance, and restaurants.
• Works in the Arrowstream system to monitor distribution centers inventory, safety stock levels, obsolescence and alerts management of potential exposure.
• Works with 4PL freight companies to expedite and ensure supply to the system.
• Works independently with minimal supervision. Drives projects and maintains high sense of urgency on identified projects, goals and any potential risk to supply.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• Business or Supply Chain Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Project management experience
• 5-8 years of experience in MS Office suite.
• 5-8 years of experience with supply chain within restaurant industry.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Knowledge of supply chain software program, Arrowstream
