Distribution and Logistics Assistant Manager - Distributor - Qdoba Restaurant Corporation

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Distribution and Logistics Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the QDOBA distribution and logistics Sr Manager and ensuring the efficient execution of its day-to-day operations by successfully accomplishing the following responsibilities:

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the daily distribution outbound operations for our US restaurants to ensure order accuracy, on time delivery, substitution rate, and critical service level objectives are met.
• Manages the on time, fill rate, and substitution KPIs at our distribution centers on a weekly basis to identify and fix areas where service level improvement is needed.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of current distribution and logistics outbound processes and improves on those processes to better manage the supply chain.
• Reports on our average drop size and average number of deliveries to ensure that our contract obligations with our distribution partners are being met.
• Communicates with our corporate, franchise, and license field leaders and restaurants any outbound delivery delays or shortage of products. Creates solutions for any item or delivery shortages ensuring our restaurants have all the items they need to serve our customers.
• Proactively monitors and communicates any disruption to the set delivery and routing schedules to our restaurants. This includes weather issues and holidays routing changes.
• Manages inventory levels of our smallware items and ensures that orders are being delivered as expected to our restaurants.
• Supports FSQA with the FSMA 2026 federal regulations with our distribution partners and ArrowStream.
• Works closely with our Distribution and Logistics Inbound Asst Manager on daily inbound delivery delays causing product shortages.
• Manages any expiring inventory across our network, working with our FSQA and Ops teams on the best solution for limiting our financial exposure.
• Monitors the daily shortage reports understanding and solutioning any items that will be shorted to restaurants the next day.
• Builds key relationships with our distribution centers and suppliers to create mutually beneficial partnerships for both organizations.
• Leads efforts to resolve product flow and supply issues on menu items (system-wide issues) by communicating with category teams, vendors, distributors, and operators as required.
• Supports the Director of Distribution and Logistics and Supply Chain Assistant Managers in critical distribution issues and works with our internal and external partners to address and solve these issues including root cause identification and correction. This ensures that the best supply chain solutions are put in place for the brand.
• Partners with the Product Marketing and Culinary departments and various internal and external teams to create and implement action plans by managing items full cycle through the supplier and distribution centers to our restaurants which include new product development, limited time offers, and product transitions.
• Communicates across all areas of the business as needed including but not limited to Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Restaurant Development.
• Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required, assigned, and directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

– Minimum 2 years related experience in supply chain, food service, logistics, and/or supply chain management. Restaurant experience is a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Excellent prioritization, interpersonal, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is a plus. Effective verbal and written communication skills; highly motivated and organized. Working knowledge of personal computers and the MS Office Suite. Demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to speak and hear clearly on the telephone and in person. Must be able to operate a computer, i.e., desktop, laptop, tablet, etc. Ability to travel as business needs require, 10% of the time or less.

Must be available to support the Qdoba network as needed to serve our restaurant’s needs accordingly.

Pay Range: $68,640-$70,000
