Job DescriptionGiant Pictures is looking for an undergraduate or graduate Distribution Intern for its film, documentary, and TV VOD/streaming business.
Reporting to the Distribution Coordinator, this is an opportunity to gain career experience in a fast-growing company in a multi-faceted role at the intersection of film and technology. The person in this role should be a self-starter comfortable working in a start-up environment, where the ability to multitask and work on several projects simultaneously will be necessary. If you are interested in helping grow a digital movie distribution business from the ground up, in a role that exercises both the left and right sides of your brain, then Giant Pictures would like to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Inputting and maintaining data within the company’s CRM, Rights Management and Project Management systems (Zoho, Molten, Smartsheet)
- Assisting the content acquisitions department with prospective titles review and points analysis
- Assisting the theatrical department with administrative tasks
- Multitasking and helping out on several projects with various company departments
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate:
- Must be a current college or advanced degree candidate or recent graduate.
- Passion for film and digital media distribution with the ability to successfully engage with a wide range of stakeholders, from clients to tech colleagues to business executives.
- Facility with numbers, quantitative analysis, and data. Expert proficiency with Excel spreadsheets is required.
- Experience with social media community/audience building desirable.
- Creative experience including design (Photoshop) and video editing skills is highly desirable, as is experience with metadata and knowledge of digital video platform delivery workflows.
Additional Information
Compensation: $16.50 per hour
