Distribution Design Intern - Xcel Energy

Project Description:

Work with Electric and Gas Distribution Design Team to support Electric and Gas Operations for the Northwest Region. Work as an entry level Electric and/or Gas Designer, doing task that support the distribution design process. Task could include entry level designs, submitted government agency permits, project managing designed projects and working closely with customer communicating Xcels install timeline. You will learn specialized software application such as SAP, Smallworld (GIS Landbase) to complete your daily task. You will work closely with Electric and Gas Designers at our St Cloud, MN Service Center.

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolled in programs focused on Science, Technology, or GIS (land base), gas design, electric design, project management (preferred), construction management, and similar.

• Must be freshman and above.

• Must be able to commute to Saint Cloud Service Center.

• Must be able to work part time during the school year, and full time during the summer.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $17.00 to $27.20 per hour

This position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
