What You'll Do:We are currently seeking a Distribution Center Operations Support Manager. This role is dedicated to providing support, troubleshooting and technical assistance to the Operations team; allowing this team to focus on execution of day-to-day production and accomplishment of performance goals of the DC. This role will be the back-up for the Operations manager and/or the DC manager.
Responsible for a properly maintained and serviced warehouse and associated equipment. Continuously analyzing the inventory situation to ensure a rigorous control of internal and external storage space. Proactively following up on deviations and arbitrating storage decisions. Ensure that the organization of customer-specific requirements are carried out on time to permit negative impacts on daily operations or customer orders. To be a key point of contact for SAP & EWM/S4 business users within the organization. To assist in workforce training, development, and support. Contribute to continuous improvement and productivity initiatives in close relationship with Lean Coordinator.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include:
Manage 3 warehouse teams:
- Set business objectives and targets to the teams.
- Organize, motivate, and train team members to ensure skills development and succession.
Warehouse & Warehouse Equipment:
- Alignment with daily operations on timing for Service and Maintenance activities to ensure operations team is not hindered in daily operations.
- Ensure repairs are organized and carried out by technicians in a timely manner to keep affect on daily operations at minimum.
- Reporting and tracking of assets referring to logistics and operations.
- Supporting budget creation > OPEX (= repair and maintenance figures), CAPEX = investments of machinery / exchange of equipment.
Stock and Inventory Management
- Preparation of ABC-analysis and implementation in WMS.
- Regular analysis of stock situation and building a stock forecast based on demand- , supply- and current stock figures and taking appropriate actions according to the outcome of the analysis in alignment with Operations and DC Management.
- Organization of external storage locations together with indirect procurement team to ensure costs on market level.
- Ensure that stock stored in external storage location is allocated on time to Main DC, to allow delivery creation and delivery preparation on time.
- Cost tracking of external storage locations and referring transportation costs.
- Support budget creation > OPEX (cost estimate for coming season based on historic values / forecast figures).
System Support
- Organize, lead, participate, and design system and process improvements or changes. Draft and communicate all requirements and submit any required tickets or RFCs.
- Organize, collaborate, and execute all required testing.
- Troubleshoot any errors or gaps; with the main point of focus on the SCM, LE, and WM areas. Draft and submit any required tickets or RFCs. Organize, collaborate, and execute all required testing.
VAS (Value Added Services) Organization
- Communicate with Sales regarding Value Added Services (VAS) to ensure the best service at the right cost level in a timely manner (2nd escalation step)
- Contribute to troubleshoot major issues related to processes, IT and relationships to providers or customers (2nd escalation step)
Projects contribution:
- Act as a key contributor for the main DC projects, such as warehouse extension or stock management systems.
- Participate and support project designs and business needs as it relates to warehouse and equipment.
This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics/Business or equivalent experience. We are looking for an individual with 5 years of experience in logistics/supply chain, with proven experience in Technical Maintenance, Automation, and Warehouse processes. We are looking for 5 years of management experience.

- Good knowledge in warehousing operations and process management
- Ability to manage a team: organize the work, develop & motivate, strong leader

- Command of Microsoft Office
- Command of SAP mandatory
- Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken)
- Knowledge of / Acumen for warehousing automation technologies
- Knowledge of warehousing maintenance technics and regulations
- Knowledge of / Acumen for IT systems
