The specialist will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and IT professionals to enhance NATO's eLearning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- eLearning Development and Management: Oversee the creation and maintenance of NATO’s Joint Advanced Distributed Learning (JADL) courses, ensuring they meet the highest standards of instructional design and technical delivery. This includes the integration of multimedia content, interactive modules, and assessments.
- Learning Technologies Integration: Implement and manage distributed learning platforms and tools that support a wide range of training activities, including pre-deployment training, professional development, and continuous education for NATO personnel.
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support and training for users of NATO’s distributed learning platforms, ensuring they can effectively navigate and utilize these systems. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to course access and performance.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with other NATO entities, national training centers, and external partners to align distributed learning initiatives with NATO’s strategic objectives. This includes participating in NATO working groups focused on education and training technologies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all distributed learning content is regularly updated and aligned with NATO’s educational standards and requirements. Conduct evaluations and gather feedback to continuously improve the effectiveness of learning programs.
- Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in education technology, instructional design, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in eLearning development, instructional design, or distributed learning, preferably in a military or international organization setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools, and multimedia content creation. Experience with NATO’s JADL system or similar platforms is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a multicultural and multinational environment.
- Clearance: A current SECRET security clearance is required
