Display Reliability Professional Service Lead
We are looking for a Display Reliability Professional Service Lead to support our reliability engineers on various tasks in the programs, to ensure the critical project deliverables are on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Services are targeted toward reliability engineering of certain display modules in Client products, while interfacing with members of Hardware and Reliability Groups, as well as cross-functional engineering & operations teams and external vendors.
- Track module REL sample allocations and manage sample delivery to fulfill test matrices.
- Track bring-up of module REL operational & functional testers and highlight the blockers, in collaboration with tester vendors, the labs and apple teams.
- Work closely with reliability and test engineers for build reliability readiness, prepare & document reliability readiness review (RRR) across Client labs and outside vendors.
- Guide vendors to support test and reporting requirements, through remote communications.
- Monitor reliability test schedule per gantt chart, actively track the status and highlight potential delays.
- Summarize reliability test results weekly based on vendor reports, using Rel summary templates provided.
- Work with reliability engineers to track FA status weekly, using FA tracker template provided.
- Communicate responsively (by email, phone, iMessage, Slack, meetings, conference calls, etc.) to close gaps in collaboration or communication with vendors, and with Client team.
- Learn and understand design analysis such as DFMEA and FEA, reliability test justifications & protocols, data collection requirements & methodologies.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop new tests based on the physics of failure and any novel user interactions that the technology enables. Write test SOP, using Rel templates provided.
- Provide direction for failure analysis to drive toward root cause.
- Work with tester manufacturers and testing teams to set up the equipment.
Requirements:
- Basic statistical analysis skills and familiar with Microsoft Excel. JMP/Tableau experience is preferred but not necessary
- 2+yrs experiences in reliability testing and reporting, consumer electronics is preferred but not necessary
- MS or higher degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
- Knowledgeable on failure analysis techniques (optical microscopy, X-ray/CT, SEM/EDS, FIB, etc) is preferred but not necessary
- Capable of handling multiple projects with strong attention to details
- Flexibility and adaptability to accept new tasks, with clear understanding of priorities and expected outcomes
- Capable of delivering tasks on time and at high quality level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Location: Cupertino, CA (hybrid schedule)
Duration: 8 month contract with possible extension
Pay Range: $65-$75/hr DOE
