Dispensary Retail Shift Lead (Key Holder)
Our Dispensary Retail Shift Lead is responsible for leading a team of well-trained Dispensary Retail Associates who provide best in-class customer service to our patients and customers. This individual will lead by example, train and coach all Dispensary Retail Associates, and lead team to achieve sales goals and KPIs. This individual will have opening and closing responsibilities and assist with inventory audits, investigations, and reconciliations. And this individual will embody the values of excellence, empowerment, inclusion, and teamwork; and has a passion for the cannabis industry.
Your role in caring for our company:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage store opening and closing activities, including but not limited to; cash management procedures, and sales management in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the AGM or General Manager.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where customers can ask questions, seek advice, and engage in meaningful conversations about cannabis.
- Contribute to the growth and success of the dispensary by meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Adhere to and has a complete understanding of all compliance regulations and company SOPs.
- Maintains best in class sales floor appearance and merchandising standards, ensuring consistent stock of accessories and merchandise.
- Ensure that the dispensary is safe, secure, sanitary and that all equipment is in working order.
- Supports inventory audits, investigations, and reconciliations.
- Supports receiving deliveries and preparation of products for sale.
- Assist in all point-of-sale (POS) administrative functions as assigned.
Team Leadership
- Foster a culture of professionalism, guiding teams to achieve optimal results.
- Promote a culture of teamwork and inclusion while providing support and guidance to the team and providing feedback to management.
- Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources Department and appropriate partners to implement and manage the company's policies and procedures.
- Retain and develop top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback.
- Train, coach, and lead the team in all dispensary retail associate functions, sales goals, and KPIs.
- Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies.
All other duties as necessary.
Qualifications we ask you to have:
- For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
- You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
- We ask that you have a minimum of one (1) year of managerial experience.
- We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of retail or food service experience, with two (2) years of cannabis experience preferred.
- We prefer that you have a minimum of two (2) years of METRC and DUTCHIE experience.
- We ask that you have excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and business acumen.

Work Schedule/Location:
- On-site 5 days a week.
