Dispensary Drivetender Lead - Clearwater - The Flowery

Job Title: Drivetender Lead | Reports to: Drivetender Manager | Location: 1201 N Highland Ave, Clearwater, FL 33755

A Cannabis Delivery Driver Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery team within a cannabis dispensary or delivery service. This position involves managing delivery drivers, ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, and addressing driver concerns and issues. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient and compliant delivery operations.  

Responsibilities:  

• Schedule maintenance appointments for the assigned fleet of vehicles.  

• Coordinate days off the road for vehicles with the Fleet Manager.  

• Ensure vehicle availability with the dispatch department.  

• Ensure maintenance is completed correctly and documented on our system (currently Samsara).  

• Ensure each car is kept in good/clean condition.  

• Relay issues that happen on the road (relating to the vehicle) to the Fleet Manager.  

• Relay employee issues on or off the road to the Drivetender Manager.  

• Communicate directly with the drivers in regard to their responsibilities such as trainings, procedures etc.  

• Coach each team member with information provided by management.  

• Communicate any discrepancies in hours or pay to the Drivetender Manager before payroll completion.  

• Approve and oversee time punch corrections or PTO requests on a weekly basis.  

• Attend and guide in-store orientations and onboarding.  

• Ensure each driver is set up in all relevant systems; PeopleGuru, Retool, Onfleet, Salve, Samsara, and Verkada etc.  

• Train drivers on proper safety and compliance procedures.  

• Ensure all new drivers are aware of all SOPs and procedures to complete their daily tasks.  

• Pair with new drivers in their first week on the road to ensure proper training and knowledge of the job.  

• Monitor team communications (ie Teams, Outlook).  

• All drivers and leads are to report to their shift 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time and ensure all items are accounted for.  

• Closely follow all SOPs, guidelines and direction provided by the Drivetender Manager.  

• Work closely with the delivery, customer service, dispatch and retail departments within company systems to: properly complete transactions on the road, request any changes to the assigned route, cancel or modify orders, etc.  

• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.  

Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour. The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion. All full-time employees automatically qualify for benefits (health, dental and/or vision), PTO & Paid Holidays after their probationary period; which is 30 days
