Position Overview:

As a Dispatcher, you will be an integral part of our transportation operations team, responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of our fleet. The dispatcher will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and timely transportation services for our clients. You will be responsible for dispatching drivers, managing routes, resolving logistical challenges, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch and Coordination: Efficiently assign drivers to routes, taking into consideration factors such as traffic conditions, delivery schedules, and client requirements.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams to provide updates on deliveries, resolve issues, and ensure a smooth operation.
• Routing and Optimization: Continuously monitor routes and make real-time adjustments to maximize efficiency, minimize delays, and reduce fuel consumption.
• Problem Solving: Quickly address any unexpected challenges, such as road closures or vehicle breakdowns, to minimize disruptions and maintain service quality.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery times, and client feedback.
• Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, or special requests, always providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Previous experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and make quick, sound decisions.
• Proficiency in using transportation management software and GPS systems.
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
