SUMMARY
Select LTC Pharmacy is the leading provider of hospice pharmacy services in Southern California. Select specializes in delivering medications and medical supplies to hospices and long-term care facilities within hours.
This position is responsible for coordinating the efficient and timely delivery of medications to our customers; managing delivery schedules, communicating with drivers, and ensuring accurate, on-time deliveries of prescriptions and medical supplies to patients' homes or healthcare facilities. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Coordinate delivery schedules and optimize delivery routes for efficiency
Clearly communicate order details and necessary instructions to drivers
Ensure all prescriptions and medical supplies are correctly packed and labeled
Track deliveries in real-time and resolve any issues
Address customer inquiries related to delivery status
Maintain accurate delivery records in the pharmacy database
Collaborate with the dispatch and pharmacy teams to prioritize urgent deliveries
Monitor driver performance and adherence to schedules for overall customer satisfaction
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in delivery driver dispatching and logistics
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in pharmacy database is preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable team player
Strong interpersonal skills and team collaborator
- Fluent in Spanish is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while managing tasks at a desk. The role requires efficient typing and phone communication for coordinating with drivers and team members, along with strong visual acuity to read small text on screens and documents. Dispatchers must be able to multitask across multiple systems, occasionally lift packages (typically up to 25 lbs), and walk between office areas. Good hearing is essential for clear communication over the phone or radio.
