Coke Florida is looking for a Dispatch Supervisor based out of our Tampa HQ location. We're currently looking for 4:30PM to 1:30AM shift, working Saturday through Wednesday.
What You Will Do:
The Direct Sales Delivery and Full-Service Vending Dispatch Supervisor will be responsible for providing direct management of the DSD & FSV Dispatcher positions, ensuring consistent execution of the daily delivery route dispatch, and that sales orders are scheduled for the delivery to the customer efficiently and on the date requested by the customer while utilizing available resources. The DSD Dispatch Supervisor is also responsible for employee development, continuous improvement of dispatcher productivity, system tools utilization and increased customer service. Previous experience in delivery, logistic/planning support and supply chain optimization helps minimize the learning curve.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the DSD/FSV Dispatchers to ensure consistent execution of the daily dispatching processes for all operations across the assigned coverage area
- Maintain effective staffing and scheduling, including providing relief coverage of dispatchers as needed
- Verify that orders are scheduled without errors, and create the most cost-efficient route schedules possible within any given constraints including best utilization of trucks, warehouse, human and financial resources
- Maintain a working knowledge of the CONA SAP scheduling system and other systems utilized to dispatch sales orders
- Promote an environment conducive to high morale and performance
- Develop DSD/FSV Dispatchers through training, coaching and feedback
- Effectively communicate issues and continuous improvement opportunities to immediate manager and or distribution center management
- Maintain regular communication with the Leader of the Field Operations Organization and provide weekly summary reports to keep field leaders informed
- Planning and dispatching in an accurate and timely basis to meet established metrics
- Working with management teams to ensure that scheduling, routing, and service are optimized and efficient
- Using software and tools to identify the lowest cost solution based on need
- Continuously improving our dataset to optimize our model and service
- Providing daily communication to management on labor and equipment needs
For this role, you will need:
- 3 years supervisory/people leadership experience with strong customer service skills
- 5 years Planning or Analytical experience
- High School Diploma/GED
Additional Qualifications that will make you successful in this role:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3 years of experience with Direct Sales Delivery and Full-Service Vending Dispatch Supervisor Dispatch experience preferred
