Dishwasher (Temporary) - Nova Biomedical

Nova Biomedical is hiring a Dishwasher (Temporary: 12/23/24 - 1/6/25 and 2/17/25 - 3/9/25; Hours: M-F 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM) on-site in our Waltham, MA facility. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen. This position requires efficiency, attention-to-detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to upholding sanitation standards.

Other responsibilities include:

• Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand.
• Ensuring all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
• Organizing cleaned dishes and utensils appropriately for storage.
• Assisting kitchen staff with basic preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and portioning ingredients as needed.
• Emptying trash bins regularly and maintaining cleanliness in dishwashing and kitchen areas.
• Following proper procedures for handling and disposing of kitchen waste and cleaning chemicals.
• Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding sanitation, cleanliness, and safety.
• Collaborating with kitchen team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
• Reporting any maintenance or repair issues related to kitchen equipment or facilities to management.
• Maintaining a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Performing all special cleaning projects assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• ServSafe sanitation certificate (can train on the job).

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Previous work experience working as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
