THE TYPE OF PREP COOK WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're searching for someone who can meet the following qualifications:

• 18+ years old
• An understanding of cooking methods and procedures
• Excellent knife-handling skills
• Ability to easily carry 40+ lbs
• Current Texas food handler's certification
• Able and willing to work weekends
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to comply with applicable industry sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
• Ability to enthusiastically and thoroughly follow instructions

Preferred:

• Previous experience as a dishwasher in a restaurant
• Previous experience as a prep cook

WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE OUR PREP COOK

Weekends are a must The typical schedule varies based on need, but you'll never have to work much past 3:30 pm as we close at 3:00 pm, allowing you to have your afternoons free. Please note that weekends are required as part of our standard schedule.

In the hospitality industry, flexibility is key. While we may not always need every team member to work every weekend or both weekend days, having an open availability on weekends greatly enhances our ability to ensure excellent service and maintain operational efficiency. Joining our team with this flexibility not only demonstrates your commitment to the role but also enables us to create a more adaptable and effective workforce.

In this role, you'll fill two roles, working as a dishwasher or a prep cook. You will handle various tasks including measuring ingredients, washing and chopping vegetables, and preparing meats. To keep things fresh and organized, you'll be sure to properly label and store ingredients. You'll also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the prep area. When needed, you'll switch gears to wash dishes efficiently.
