Job Summary:
The Dishwasher at The Sheraton Palo Alto is responsible for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized in a timely and efficient manner. This individual will work as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality/restaurant environment, ensuring that all guests have a clean and enjoyable dining experience. This is a full-time, hourly position located in Palo Alto, California.
Compensation & Benefits:
The compensation for this position is $22 per hour, paid biweekly. The Sheraton Palo Alto also offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Load, run, and unload dishwasher according to company standards
- Hand wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen supplies
- Empty trash and recycling bins regularly
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and timely turnover of dishes for service
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Report any maintenance or equipment issues to management
- Assist in other kitchen duties as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent time management skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to pass a background check.
