The IT Disaster Recovery Program scope at HPE covers infrastructure and applications residing in the two HPE datacenters and the 13 Remote Compute Space (RCS) locations. This position must ensure HPE is prepared to recover IT infrastructure and applications from a Disaster according to RTO ( Recovery Time Objectives) and RPO (Recovery Point Objectives) guidelines.
Publish, communicate and evolve the GIT Disaster Recovery guidelines. This includes the Comprehensive GIT Disaster Recovery Strategy plan, the decision criteria for Disaster Recovery classification tiers, templates for Application Recovery Plans (ARP) & Technical Recovery Plans (TRP), the timeframe for testing of ARP and TRP plans, and the process for documentation storage.
Responsibilities :
- Drive Disaster Recovery program maturity by collaborating with stakeholders to build greater awareness of the IT Disaster Recovery program, identify potential gaps and develop mitigation strategies to reduce exposures in meeting the business recovery requirements.
- Guide internal Infrastructure technical towers (e.g. Network team) and business application IT teams on Disaster Recovery planning procedures to ensure all requirements are considered, mitigated and validated through testing. Identify risks and recommend improvements based on post exercise report results.
- Consult with HPE IT Architecture teams as they design Disaster Recoveryfor applications to ensure Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) can be met.
- Oversee and lead recovery-training activities and provide on-going educational opportunities through hand-on pre-exercise planning activities and hands-on recovery rehearsals.
- Develop maturity metrics to: 1) measure the effectiveness of overall IT DR/BC program 2) evaluate the adequacy of TRPs developed for the critical applications and 3) track program improvements year over year.
- Coordinate the response to audit (internal/external) and customer inquiries regarding HPE's IT Disaster Recovery Program and/or IT Business Continuity Plans.
- In the event of a Disaster, lead the IT Disaster Recovery Command Center, providing 24x7 management support and timely communications to the IT Executive Leadership throughout the recovery effort.
Education and Experience Required:
- Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of Disaster Recovery experience.
- C/DRE certificate or equivalent experience.
- EDPR certificate or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management and process development skills.

Annual Salary: $86,000.00 - $198,000.00
