About the Job
American Express Company seeks Directors, Risk Management to devise credit risk strategy for commercial new accounts and existing customers. Develop key capabilities to enable new account strategies for existing commercial customers ensuring growth while managing losses. Drive commercial products underwriting strategies and risk management policies for existing customers by strengthening risk processes. Build and deploy next generation risk management tools and capabilities to deliver industry-leading credit quality ensuring accelerated profitable growths. Work with business partners to enhance value proposition, improve customer experiences, and strengthen regulatory and compliance alignment for the company. Collaborate with the decision science team to enhance economic logic that supports core risk management decisions.
Position requires a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with credit risk management and analytics. Experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: credit and fraud risk management for credit card and non-card products; Hive, SAS, SQL, and Teradata; developing credit risk policies and capabilities for exposure management, delinquency management, and limit management for card and non-card products; working in cross-functional and cross-border teams in commercial credit risk management; development of predictive models with regression and advanced machine learning techniques for fraud risk management; designing fraud risk mitigation strategy; analyzing credit risk data from commercial credit bureaus, internal data sources, including financial statements, systems, and data management processes; exposure and limit management of small business credit card and non-card products; designing targeting and pricing strategy for non-card products; managing risk of high balance commercial customers; and analyzing commercial portfolios. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.

Rate of Pay: $160,597.00 - $165,000.00 annually
