Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader of IT to head our global Commercial reporting, data enablement and Innovation. This role will be essential in driving data-informed decisions across our commercial business functions, ensuring high-quality reporting and managing our commercial data quality and governance. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality reporting, uphold commercial data quality, and leverage AI to maximize our data's potential to drive innovation. With a focus on global reporting, the candidate should have a proven track record in executing a comprehensive commercial reporting strategy that aligns with our business goals. They will also be responsible for creating engaging and interactive visualizations to effectively convey complex data to stakeholders.Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:- Data Enablement & Commercial Reporting:
- Develop a comprehensive global commercial IT reporting roadmap. Lead and enhance our Commercial Reporting by building our next generation reporting framework.
- Partner with internal teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive suite of commercial reports and dashboards, including product performance, KPI tracking, and sales analysis.
- Enhance consistency in global, regional and local reporting by creating a centralized reporting framework
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and develop reporting solutions
- Creating insightful and interactive visualizations to effectively communicate complex data to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement AI-powered solutions for commercial teams.
- Project Prioritization and Management:
- Establish a framework for prioritizing projects based on business impact and strategic alignment.
- Oversee the execution of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
- Manage resources effectively to balance ongoing reporting needs with new requests.
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Implement and maintain robust data quality processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of commercial data.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with the Data Strategy and Governance team to establish and enforce data governance policies.
- Ensure proper management and protection of sensitive data, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Proficiency in creating and executing test scripts, documenting requirements and business rules, and performing SQL queries to validate data quality and accuracy
- Master Data Management:
- Drive adoption, educate and ensure commercial data is mastered and up to date globally.
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across various commercial systems and platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to continuously improve MDM processes and tools. Develop metrics for managing mastered data.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of data analysts
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the reporting team.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote data literacy and adoption of analytics tools across the organization.
- Customer-facing skills with the competence to capture business needs and define requirements effectively.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Contribute to the development of commercial reporting strategies globally.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in AI and commercial analytics.
- Drive the adoption of AI for Commercial
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, with a proven track record of successful project management and execution.
- Deep domain knowledge in US commercial pharmaceutical processes including sales and marketing, launch processes, Market Access, customer and patient journey processes, and commercial operations.
- Foster a data-driven culture that values accuracy, consistency, and insights.
- Expertise in data management, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI) and analytics platforms, SQL
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI techniques to solve business problems within the commercial domain.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Veeva Network or other Master Data Management systems and processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into actionable insights
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and prioritization skills
- Passion for data-driven decision making and a commitment to driving business growth.
Salary Range
$171,000 - $239,667 a yearCompensation & Benefits
