Successful candidates will have a Professional Engineering License (PE) with local NYC experience performing Mechanical / HVAC Systems Design using AutoCAD or Revit Software. Must have Airside and Waterside System Experience for Institutional/Public Sector Projects, New Buildings and Existing facility upgrades.

Director / VP - Sr Mechanical Design Engineer P.E. – NYC/Hybrid
We are seeking a Director or VP Level Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to join our team in NYC. Successful candidates will have a Professional Engineering License (PE) with local NYC experience performing Mechanical / HVAC Systems Design using AutoCAD or Revit Software. Must have Airside and Waterside System Experience for Institutional/Public Sector Projects, New Buildings and Existing facility upgrades.
Qualifications:
- BS Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, ABET Accredited Program
- 10-15+ years of mechanical systems design experience.
- PE License in NY (or ability to gain reciprocity) * Required *
- Proficient in AutoCAD Software, knowledge of Revit
- Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers, designers, and CAD operators.
- Self-starting nature with the ability to see tasks through completion while meeting project budgets and deadlines.
- Experience in preparing and writing basis of designs.
- Lead the design engineering efforts for the design of mechanical systems for new installations, system retrofits, system replacement and system upgrades for a wide variety of projects and project types.
- * Experience in managing projects from both a technical aspect and financial (profit and loss) standpoint.
- Strong organizational skills, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and contracts by developing project approach, scope of services and budgets based on similar project experience and participate in client interviews.
- Coordinate with the client and the design team, including owners, architects, contractors, members of other disciplines, and internal support staff to ensure the design is consistent with the project goals and ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions, gather information, meet with clients, and observe construction and help resolve field issues during construction.
- Design HVAC systems including all associated equipment, ductwork, piping, and specifications.
- Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork, pipe sizing, and any other calculations required to support the mechanical design.
- Ability to develop engineering calculations and technical reports using Microsoft Office suite.
- Develop construction documents including design drawings and project specifications.
- Perform construction administrative duties such as preparation of field reports, provide responses.
- $120-$180K Salary, plus Bonus, 401K, Health Benefits, etc.
