As a user experience director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the user experience strategy. Lead cross-functional teams in crafting intuitive digital products through user research, design, and testing. Define design standards, mentor teams, and ensure alignment with business objectives for an exceptional user experience that drives results.
Key Responsibilities:
UX Strategy and Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive UX strategy that aligns with Greif’s company mission, vision, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate user experience considerations into the company's long-term planning and decision-making processes.
- Manage and mentor a team of UX designers, researchers, and developers; foster a culture of creativity and execute on creating user experiences that differentiate Greif.
Design and Implementation
- Create a seamless, intuitive, creative, and effective user experience and customer experience across Greif's product portfolio.
- Oversee all phases of the UX design, including research and analysis, design and prototyping, testing, and implementation.
- Lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups that effectively communicate the user experience vision.
- Establish and maintain a design system that promotes consistency and efficiency in UX/UI design.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to integrate UX principles throughout the product development and implementation lifecycles.
Research
- Create and oversee implementation of research frameworks that align with industry leading practices.
- Lead user research initiatives, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behavior and preferences.
- Create frameworks by which to analyze research findings that uncover user pain points, behaviors, and preferences, translating them into actionable design solutions.
Testing and Performance Management
- Plan and execute usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and make data-driven improvements to the UX.
- Define and track KPI and OKR metrics to assess the impact of UX improvements and drive continuous enhancements.
- Assess design outputs generated by the team, guaranteeing their alignment with established design benchmarks and their successful fulfillment of user requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices for UX design.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or similar fields
- 12 - 14 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role (Director level or equivalent) Proven experience leading and managing a team of UX/UI designers, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to facilitate collaboration with developers.
- Previous experience in manufacturing industry, understanding its unique challenges and opportunities.
- Professional in use of qualitative techniques: interviews, focus groups, user diaries, cultural probes, co-creation, shadowing, etc.
- Extensive experience leading and managing design teams, with a proven track record of success.

The pay range for this position is $ 180,000.00 to $ 220,000.00 per year. The base pay offered for this position may vary based on market data and other factors, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may be eligible for a short-term incentive in addition to base pay.Benefits Statement:
