Summary:
The Director Touring will be assigned to various tours to oversee the general operation of the tour from the promoter side, as well as representing Global Touring to the client representatives.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee and work directly with touring department on various projects, including building and review of financial models and preparation of international tour offers at the theater, arena, and stadium level.
- Oversee and work directly with various departments (i.e. marketing, operations, ticketing, production, legal) on overall aspects for assigned tours.
- Collaborate on strategies to expand AEG’s global footprint with each artist and oversee all aspects of tour cycle – Offer Creation, Contracting, On Sale, Inventory Management, final settlement.
- Manage and review ticket sales, holds, and other appropriate ticketing items for assigned tours, working with tour ticketing director to manage these items.
- Negotiate venue deals for each tour at the theater, arena and stadium level. Maintain regular communication with client representatives for each assigned tour.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year)
- 6-8 years of related work experience
- Experience working on international tours
- Mastery of show accounting and ability to prepare and review accuracy of international tour budgets and settlement (inclusive of working knowledge of global exchange rates)
- Extensive experience in touring music business both domestic and international (i.e. has worked on at least one touring project that has extended beyond North America).
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, venues, and co-workers
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Will require some international travel
- Foreign language ability a plus – Spanish or Korean preferred
Pay Scale: $99,542.00-141,241.8
