About the Job

A marketing company in New York is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff Remotely as their new Director, Tax & Treasury. In this role, the Director, Tax & Treasury will have overall responsibility for the completion and coordination of Federal, International, and State income tax returns, including all related analysis and support.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with an independent accounting firm for the preparation of individual tax returns
Develop tax strategies that will maximize Real Chemistry's tax position and tax efficiencies on both a Federal and State level
Manage sales and use and property tax function plus preparation of monthly sales and use tax returns for filings with the various states
Manage audits of federal and state income tax, as well as state and local filings
Responsible for accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) under US GAAP and International subsidiaries
Coordinate accounting for income taxes for international subsidiaries with third party vendors
Develop and maintain the accounting for all deferred tax items and monitor the usage of those items on quarterly/annual basis
Develop a transfer pricing strategy as well as management fee arrangements
Assist the Global Controller with tax planning issues as required.
Assist the Global Controller in estimating and monitoring annual cash taxes.
Lead tax liaison with Real Chemistry's independent accounting firm on all tax and strategy matters.

Qualifications:

11+ years of related Tax experience; 5+ years of experience within a Public Accounting firm
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Previous experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory-related role
Microsoft Excel proficient
Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment

Desired Skills:

Master's Degree in Business and/or Taxation
CPA or parts passed
International Tax background
Working knowledge of ERP systems
