Director – Talent Development
Reports to: Associate Executive Director for Human Resources
Location: 1603 Court Street, Syracuse, NY 13208
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pay: $65,000 - $72,000 per year

With a history stretching back more than 70 years, AccessCNY is continually growing and expanding our reach. Offering person-centered services that empower individuals of all ages and abilities to reach their full potential as part of our community. Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement leadership development content, including guided trainings on coaching, employee recognition, 1:1s, goal creation, and meeting design
- Design agency standardized templates for cross department utilization, including developing behavioral and skill assessments
- Design and implement employee development content, including career pathways
- Design behavioral and skill assessments to be utilized for promotional and performance improvement opportunities
- Develop and monitor data metrics relating to employee turnover, disciplines, employee experience, and survey results
- Design and implement internal mentorship program
- Develop robust internship and job shadowing program
- Observe confidentiality and safeguards regarding all participant related information
- Follow Agency standards and procedures
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, such as HR, talent development, education, or instructional design required. Alternatively, a degree in human services plus five years’ experience in talent development.
Conditions of Employment
Candidates must have a valid NYS Driver’s license in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and have transportation necessary to meet departmental needs.
