Summary of Position:
This position is responsible for developing and executing the Workforce Planning, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Diversity and Inclusion, Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Employee Engagement strategy for the entire organization. Incumbent will ensure that the company’s talent strategy propels the business strategy and will use business acumen skills to be agile and adaptable in the delivery.
Responsibilities:
Full Lifecycle Recruiting
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of recruitment policies and procedures.
- Ensures proper systems are in place to measure results, trends, and opportunities to impact recruiting effectiveness.
- Establishes and adheres to leading recruiting and placement practices and procedures.
- Provides full lifecycle recruitment support at all levels from entry-level hourly/wage to executive-level positions.
- Determines ideal candidate profiles for critical roles.
- Tracks efforts and/or coordinates with support team to ensure that all KPIs are properly captured and hiring goals are met.
- Consults and educates business partners on hiring process and employment market trends.
- Responsible for the management of vendors. Selects appropriate firms for approved position openings and negotiates fees to ensure proper spending. Manages a budget on an annual basis.
- Supports global People team initiatives as they relate to recruitment.
- Assists with communication regarding People policies to all employees.
- Ensures compensation framework is used.
- Identifies and executes a strategy for candidate assessments, providing quantitative data, to assist in selection decisions.
Learning and Development
- Responsible for the strategy development, design, creation, and implementation of core professional, technical, and business learning and development solutions and evaluation of their effectiveness. Focuses broadly on strengthening the alignment between business priorities and organizational strategy with significant collaboration with senior leadership and human resource leaders.
- Develops and demonstrates an understanding of Knauf’s manufacturing operations, sales, and support area processes and needs.
- Continues to improve our organizational training strategy in alignment with and support of our strategic goals and priorities.
- Builds solid cross-functional relationships to foster strong partnerships and thought leadership with business and operational leadership to deliver holistic and outcome-driven learning solutions.
- Develops strategic relationships with industry and professional organizations, colleges, and education programs in partnership with business leadership.
- Works with the People team and business leaders to conduct needs analyses and define the development and competency requirements for all levels of leadership, staff, and primary team members.
Diversity and Inclusion
- Leads the tracking and analysis of diversity data, both internal and external, creating insights that can become action plans.
- Facilitates a Diversity and Inclusion Committee focused on leading and executing initiatives leading to a more inclusive workplace.
- Creates critical and time-sensitive reports and presentations, communicating the progress of the Company’s diversity commitments/initiatives.
- Measures progress on key diversity and inclusion outcomes through research, analysis, interpretation, and preparation of internal and external data and metrics for key stakeholders.
Employee Engagement
- Leads the company’s employee engagement efforts, collaborating across all functions, with the goal to improve overall engagement by manufacturing plant and office.
- Identifies external benchmarks and surveys to help identify action items and areas of greatest need.
- Leads the facilitation of the annual employee engagement survey, ensuring that the process is efficient and well-managed, leading to a positive employee experience across all locations.
- Reports to the Executive Committee on employee engagement progress, identifying ways to make improvements and measure progress.
- Partners with People team members, business leaders, and managers to execute short- and long-term action items, leading to improved employee engagement and retention.
Leadership
- Drives continuous improvement in the candidate experience, reporting, data and analytics, productivity, planning and forecasting of hiring and internal movement.
- Participates and proactively adds value across the People function on the full life cycle of talent management activities (i.e., retention, recruiting, development, leading change, etc.)
- Develops and implements effective staffing and organizational design strategies, including internal movement and candidate diversity.
- Defines interviewing and selection training needs, manages training and development initiatives and evaluate effectiveness of the initiatives.
- Serves on the People Leadership team, working proactively across the business to ensure that the company achieves business targets, on an annual and long-term basis.

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
- HR Certification preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing/industrial company
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing others, directly or indirectly
- Experience recruiting in the building products industry preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of recruiting tools and systems, including social media channels
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus
- Excellent computer skills in MS Windows environment; proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
