Role Summary:
As a Transaction Manager at the company, you'll be the key point person for assigned transactions, ensuring superior client service throughout the loan process. You'll facilitate, coordinate, and monitor each transaction from initial quote to loan closing, collaborating with internal and external team members to ensure smooth execution.
What You'll Do:
- Provide exceptional customer service to assigned borrowers and transactions, maintaining open and productive communication.
- Structure permanent mortgage loans in compliance with the company, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and/or FHA requirements.
- Guide transactions and borrowers through the complete deal life cycle, from inception to closing and servicing.
- Analyze financial, physical, and market suitability of loans, gathering necessary information to facilitate transactions.
- Prepare, review, and interpret financial analyses, including cashflow projections and returns projections.
- Lead meetings with borrowers and stakeholder teams to facilitate information sharing and gather necessary details for closing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide customers with best-in-class execution.
- Monitor real estate transactions to ensure timely completion.
- Stay informed about changes in Agency terms, policies, or programs.
- Contribute to new business processes and standards to enhance customer experience.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 4-10 years of experience in multifamily underwriting/financial modeling.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience with Freddie Mac's, Fannie Mae's, and/or FHA's multifamily lending platforms.
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing lending requirements, including Tax-Exempt Bond executions and the Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) Program.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with effective time management skills.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Manhattan. The salary range is $125,000 - $175,000, dependent on experience.
