Job description:The Director, Sales is a key member of the Controls Southeast Inc leadership team and is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the sales organization across the Americas commercial market. This exceptional leader will be responsible for direct sales via Regional Sales Managers, and indirect sales via representatives and distributors. The Director, Sales will promote our mission, vision, and guiding principles, as well as collaborate with internal teams and departments to generate extraordinary growth and committing to achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities of the Director, Sales
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth through both direct sales and distribution channels.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and product improvement.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners to drive sales and maximize market penetration.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, evaluate sales data, and prepare regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of resources and cost-effective operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes, streamline operations, and optimize customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and adaptability to market changes.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and foster new business relationships.
Qualifications for the Director, Sales
- Business or Engineering Bachelor level degree
- 10+ years’ experience, experience with Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, CEMS, markets. Analytical experience preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience travelling, speaking and giving presentations to clients, from a technical sales/business development perspective.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar platform preferred.
- Significant experience managing both direct sales reports, channel networks and overall sales responsibility for a geographic region.
