Minimum qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.15 years of experience in consumer product management or a related field, including 6 years of experience managing Product Management teams.Experience working in global teams in a matrixed environment.Preferred qualifications:Experience successfully launching beloved consumer products at scale, including zero to one products.Ability to set and drive the big picture strategy for a product team, while also contributing directly and providing detailed guidance on individual projects.Excellent organizational leadership, ability to collaborate with and influence teams across boundaries, including technical proficiency and ability to work closely with Engineering partners.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent complex business or technical concepts with senior leadership.

Consumer Verticals is made up of key verticals including sports, TV and movies, recipes, video games and more, as well as “diagonal” product areas that cross-cut verticals, including “entities”, recommendation and categorical product, scaling of experiences and new emerging 0 to 1 products such as vertical integrations with Lens.As the Director of Product Management, you will lead our personalization across consumer verticals, and a quality workstream to ensure our products can use vertical data to build amazing experiences.
You will manage a distributed team of Product Managers in the US and India in a complex environment, while owning the future vision and roadmap of these core products.
You'll bring a strong product vision, creativity and innovation, and flex across both strategic and operational initiatives.In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere.
