Director Plant Operations (Hospital) at Pacifica Hospital of the Valley

About the Job
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures proper operation and maintenance of hospital buildings, grounds and equipment.
- Assess compliance with Life Safety Code – completing Statements of Condition (SOC) and managing resolution of deficiencies.
- Ensures preventative and corrective maintenance is performed in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Maintains records and documentation required by all regulatory and accreditation agencies as well as good engineering practices.
- Maintains all aspects of the hospital-wide safety programs.
- Oversees construction/renovation project, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree or equivalent, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
- Five (5) years progressive plant operation / facilities management experience in an acute care environment
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding Plant Operations / Facilities Management (Title 22, TJC, HCAi, OSHA, NFPA, SCAQMD, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Working level knowledge of computer systems (including Microsoft Office)
- Demonstrated management, administrative, planning, and budgeting skills
- Excellent communication (written / verbal) skills
- Excellent organizational skills
