Job Summary
In this role, the Director of Performance Management oversees command
center performance management within assigned operational functions
working closely with business leaders and other stakeholders to meet and
exceed customer and organizational expectations. Demonstrates thought
leadership by introducing innovation and alternative perspectives to
business and clinical leads. Fosters a collaborative and innovative
environment within a matrixed organization. Unites command center
leadership to evaluate and improve organizational practices that
maintain and enhance quality, program performance and customer
responsiveness. Examines contracts, identifies performance requirements
and collaborates with department leads to foster accountability that
connects operations with measurable performance. Provides objective and
diverse perspective to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Recognize and identify trends early and address issues with leadership
effectively.
Collaborates with operational leadership to diagnose and implement
service and operational solutions.
Develops deep understanding of the business units operations,
performance requirements and barriers to performance.
Support leadership in developing and implementing the command center
infrastructure.
Leads cross-functional teams to assess trend, quality and performance
measures.
Collaborates with related internal teams in developing solutions.
Supervises command center managers to include providing direction,
coaching and support in meeting goals. Actively participate in
recruiting, selecting and onboarding new hires.
Promotes the development and integration of systems thinking, customer
focus and use of improvement tools.
Provides regular and actionable reports to senior leadership on analysis
of issues, trends and recommendations for changes to achieve and sustain
performance improvements. Utilizes consulting and facilitation
approaches for qualitative assessments. Produces complete and
informative reports; describes options in terms of cost/benefit, and
makes recommendations to leadership and/or user groups for
process/program improvement and/or decision-making.
Coordinates with clinical leaders in a matrixed organization to improve
patient access to care.
Organizes new, complex and disparate issues into strategic and tactical
performance plans. Creates innovative solutions, and implements
corrective action plans in coordination with TriWests ePMO and business
units.
Supports the companys quality program including monitoring, trending and
reporting quality metrics, development of analysis and reports for
quality meetings and leading accreditation and certification efforts.
Champions Lean, Six Sigma, system redesign and PI initiatives and
functions as a facilitator during TriWests operational construct design
and improvement sessions.
Serves as the focal point for internal and external communications
regarding quality and performance management and improvement
initiatives.
Serves on cross-functional committees as the voice for TriWests quality
program.
Utilizes quantitative tools and techniques to perform data-based
analysis.
Supports project implementation when required using project management
tools to develop project plans/timelines, coordinate/manage project,
monitor and report status, progress and areas of risk in relation to
established project objectives, requirements and timelines.
Promotes service excellence activities in collaboration with TriWests
leadership team.
Track and follow through on all issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.
