Director, Planning, Design, and Construction: The Director of Planning, Design, and Construction for IPF provides leadership and strategic vision to approximately 55 support and professional staff (including temporary, on?call, and student employees). This position oversees approximately $200 million in annual capital project expenditures and is responsible for shaping the department to reinforce collaboration, accountability, responsibility, and stewardship. Required Education and Work Experience A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field from an accredited institution. 10+ years of progressively challenging professional experience in functional leadership roles managing a team of diverse architecture, engineering, planning, design, and/or construction professionals with varied backgrounds and capabilities working toward measurable bottom?line results and successes. Experience implementing strategic frameworks, mission, vision, values, and action plans. Experience leading within a complex, interdisciplinary, union environment that deploys business intelligence tools for reporting, queries, and analysis. _______________________________________________________________________ University Engineer: IPF Real Estate and Capital Planning invites applications for the position of University Engineer. The department is responsible for all aspects of planning pro-actively and implementing a strategic approach to the university's current and potential future real estate holdings in support of the university's academic, research, innovation, and outreach mission. Salary - avg $153,373 - annually depending on experience. As University Engineer, you will play a significant leadership role in the planning and design for the built environment for university facilities. The successful candidate will build collaborative relationships providing excellent customer service with executive leadership in planning facilities in accordance with the University's Integrated Facilities and Land Use Plan. This position is responsible for the technical direction and oversight of MSU's capital projects including buildings, site-work, and utility infrastructure. The position requires a collaborative leader that can provide the technical direction of projects utilizing both in-house subject matter experts and outside consultants to develop highly complex projects. Review and oversight of the Universities Construction Standards and Architect/Engineer Design Guidelines is also a critical component of the responsibilities. This position will also lead utility planning of MSU-owned and operated infrastructure projects, which includes steam distribution, water and sewer, electric, chilled water, and fiber optic distribution for a campus with over 26 million square feet of buildings and over 3,000 developed acres.
