**Role Description:** The Director of Compensation Market Insights & Analytics (MIA) is responsible for leading a team to provide market insights and analytics to the Compensation Partners. This role will create, develop, and lead a team of compensation professionals aligned to each of Salesforce's business groups to provide relevant analytics to aid in the decision making related to compensation. This position interfaces with all internal departments and provides consulting and analytical support, and relevant data in support of program development and management.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead a team to leverage global compensation market data, insights, and analysis to identify trends, patterns and focus areas to strengthen the Compensation team's ability to provide effective and robust analytics and strategic support to Business Partners and the business.
+ Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and programs and continue to evolve the design of compensation programs, including cash and bonus programs.
+ Lead the annual compensation structure review, analyzing survey data and make recommendations for compensation range/structure adjustments and compensation program design with starting rates, range spreads, geo differentials, and other comp structure design elements.
+ Build relationships with key stakeholders in Compensation and ES to understand and prioritize needs, while proactively suggesting future enhancements and improvements.
+ Develop, own and manage relevant reporting and dashboards; working with comp partners to provide targeted data for multiple functions and locations.
+ Create tools and reports, conduct ad-hoc compensation analysis to provide actionable insights to drive business results and support of the compensation strategy.
+ Identify and consider risks and dependencies when designing compensation practices and programs. Coordinate with internal partners to understand what initiatives may be impacted and create mitigation plans as needed.
+ Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong business acumen, excellent communication skills and in-depth analytical capabilities.
+ Stay up to date on industry trends to inform and influence compensation decisions and support the Compensation team's ability to grow and scale.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
+ Develop and nurture a high-performing team, focused on driving operational excellence.
**Required Experience:**
+ Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Compensation or related experience.
+ Expertise across compensation focus areas, including market analytics, job architecture, role mapping, and program design.
+ Systems knowledge and an understanding of the relationships between reports, dashboards, data warehouses, integration setups, and data maintenance.
+ Strong conceptual skills, ability to understand complex scenarios and take abstract ideas and/or insights and translate them into creative solutions and actionable plans.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively influence, lead, collaborate with and empower others at all levels. Strong project management, negotiation skills, and a growth mindset.
+ Expertise in financial analysis, statistical analysis, and modeling is required.
+ Experience building, leading and working with teams spanning multiple geographies.
+ Industry savvy, up to date and energized by current and future industry compensation trends.
+ Demonstrated understanding of relevant laws and standard methodologies.
+ Expert user in MS Excel/ Google Sheets and experience in Tableau Analytics preferred.
+ Workday experience preferred
+ Able to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment of consistent rapid growth, including working with fast-paced tech driven companies.
_For Colorado-based roles only: Minimum annual salary of $168,000 for Director. You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits._
