Overview
Utah State University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS; ) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM; ) are seeking a Director of Wellness for the CVM. The position will be housed at a CAPS Satellite Office located in the CVM. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a collegial work environment that values collaboration, inclusion, and trust. This a full-time, benefited, 12-month position on the USU-Logan campus.
The Director of Wellness provides counseling (consultation, intake, and therapy) for veterinary students, crisis assessments and interventions, and outreach programming on mental health and well-being. Other essential duties include assisting in the development and implementation of the new 4-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree program and curriculum, as it relates to student, staff, and faculty mental health and well-being and providing instruction in the DVM degree curriculum. The position will be student centered with program development initially and as the student population grows, it will become heavier on providing clinical services. The position will be involved with the implementation of programming centered around Student Success, Inclusion, and Accessibility initiatives within the college. This position offers multiple opportunities for professional development in outreach programming and curriculum design. The qualified applicant will have the option to engage in scientific research.

Responsibilities
Clinical services:
Provide individual and group counseling for students in the college (both face-to-face and teletherapy), clinical consultation (triage appointment), intake, assessment, and crisis interventions. Conduct drop-in hours for CVM students. Prepare for sessions and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of clinical services.
Outreach services:
Build relationships with faculty and administration in the CVM and attend informational consultations with faculty, staff, and students. Assist in planning and presentation of annual student orientation activities in the CVM. Present outreach/workshops throughout the school year focused on topics such as study skills, stress management, and test anxiety. Design and implement outreach and prevention programming to students, staff, and faculty.
