Description
The Director of Therapy is responsible for the oversight of the Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services at Northwest Medical Center. The Director of Therapy Services is responsible for both inpatient (acute care) and outpatient services.
Ideal candidates must have professional experience in an acute care, hospital setting.
Directs and coordinates the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of physical therapy programs to patients. Oversees the performance of the physical therapy staff. Ensures the physical therapy division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
As an organization leader, this position shares accountability for facilitating organizational and department goals using effective leadership knowledge, skills and abilities that ensure achievement of expected results for patient/customer service, employee engagement, financial health, business growth and quality and safety outcomes.
Education
Required: Bachelors degree required in Physical, Occupation, Speech Therapy.
Preferred: Masters degree.
Experience
Required: Minimum five (5) years of recent, professional experience in hospital, acute care therapy (Physical, Occupational, or Speech). Three (3) years supervisory/management experience.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Current License in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) BLS certification.
