Responsibilities:Your Role:
As a Senior Manager / Technical Director, you will be responsible for the overall direction, strategy, planning and execution of capital projects for the business unit. This role is strategic in focus and will be responsible for driving a long-term focus on sustainability and process improvement. The position reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Drive and promote our safety culture within the sites including contractors, suppliers, and visitors.
- Consult with Senior Director of Operations and other key process stakeholders to identify deficiencies or obsolescence that could impact sustainability and growth.
- Further enhance our Capital Approval and Spending Process by implementing an approach that ensures projects are well planned, well resourced, and well executed.
- Manage capital projects utilizing project management life cycle.
- Manage detailed spending updates, projections, and overall project status through completion.
- Ensure that projects are designed for safety and for reliability prior to full scope and execution of the projects. This should include detailed “as built” drawings, Bill of Materials, etc.
- Directly manage the Automation Engineers and any future project-related Engineers that fall within the responsibility of strategic, capital projects.
- Build an effective team and maintain core competencies through hiring, training, coaching, and other actions if needed.
- Participate and/or facilitate maintainability and design reviews with key stakeholders and end users.
- Review and approve engineering technical documents, as applicable.
- Support and participate in factory and site acceptance testing for new equipment.
- Support the safe commissioning and startup of new projects and/or equipment modifications and upgrades as needed.
- Ensure that proper training and turnover packages are provided to the plant support functions maintaining a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and meeting all specifications.
- Drive major strategic projects to completion while maintaining timeline, budget, and project objectives.

We need you to have:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional and progressive engineering experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing environment.
- 7+ years of progressive project management.
- Must be team-oriented and collaborative with the ability to develop and work with high performance teams.
- MS Office, AutoCAD, process data analytics software experience.
- Heavy industrial equipment experience required.
- Demonstrated high level competencies of engineering concepts, process control, and good engineering practices.
Icing on the cake:
- Master’s degree.
- Experience in the cold rolling, annealing, casting, melting and general process of flat rolled metal products.

Posted Salary Range:USD $195,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /ABonus Eligibility:Role is eligible for 25% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets their performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
