Director of Tax Strategy

Our client is seeking a Director of Tax Strategy the Global Tax Strategy team forecasts and manages global cash taxes, analyzes and implements
tax planning ideas, assists with mergers and acquisitions, analyzes the impact of legislative changes, manages income tax audits, provides
guidance on internal restructurings, assists with cash repatriations, and ensures the Company maintains its real estate investment trust
status.

The primary focus of the role is on tax planning. This involves developing and implementing ideas that are aligned with the Company’s
long-term global tax strategy, researching and understanding legislative changes and assisting with local tax audits. The Global Tax Strategy
team plays a critical role in ensuring an optimized tax structure.

Specific activities include;

- Manage and assist with annual global cash tax forecasting.

- Assist with M&A and internal restructurings by providing structuring
considerations and relevant tax-related inputs.

- Develop and implement tax planning ideas in various
jurisdictions.

- Respond to tax audit inquiries from foreign tax authorities.

- Manage and assist with quarterly REIT testing.

- Research tax issues using BNA Tax Management Portfolios.

Qualifications

Qualifications;

- 10+ years of experience in a corporate tax department or public accounting firm preferred.

- CPA preferred; Post-Graduate degree in Tax or Law.

- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively

- Technical Skills – Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required

- Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements
and deadlines.

- Self-motivated; able to work independently and within a group.

- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.

- Strong leadership skills: ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
