POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Director of Talent Acquisition Strategic Client Partnership is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the talent acquisition function to support the mission and growth of California Schools Talent Collaborative (CSTC). As a nonprofit specializing in direct and contract staffing for school districts, CSTC seeks a results-driven individual to lead strategic hiring efforts, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality service delivery to clients. This role will focus on driving recruitment strategies, improving employee engagement and retention, and aligning talent acquisition goals with organizational growth and profitability metrics.
The Director of Talent Acquisition Strategic Client Partnership will also manage the department’s budget and oversee a team of direct reports, providing leadership and guidance to ensure operational success and professional growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Strategic Planning
• Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies aligned with CSTC’s mission and business objectives.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing recruitment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with the executive team to anticipate staffing needs and ensure alignment with organizational growth goals.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to effectively build and foster partnerships across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Business Management & Growth
• Identify market trends and opportunities to optimize the recruitment of qualified candidates for school districts.
• Contribute to revenue growth and organizational profitability by driving efficient, costeffective hiring processes.
• Collaborate with leadership to expand CSTC's client base and build lasting partnerships with school districts.
• Collaborate with the sales team to establish clear expectations for prospective clients, providing transparent timelines and measurable metrics to ensure alignment and successful outcomes for a new contract and client satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
• Oversee high-volume recruitment efforts to meet the staffing demands of partner school districts.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure recruitment team effectiveness and goal attainment.
• In partnership with the talent acquisition leadership team, continuously evaluate and improve talent acquisition systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency.
• Create and manage the CSTC talent acquisition department budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial stewardship.
• Design and implement systems and processes to establish an efficient, streamlined, and scalable operating framework.
Team Metrics & Goal Achievement
• Set clear performance goals for the talent acquisition team and provide regular coaching and feedback to achieve results.
• Ensure timely and successful placement of candidates to meet client expectations and organizational benchmarks.
Direct Reports
• Oversee and manage a team of direct reports, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and career development opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that empowers team members to succeed and grow professionally.
Partner/Client Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with school district clients, ensuring satisfaction with CSTC’s staffing services.
• Serve as the primary liaison, working closely with Contract Staff Managers to bridge communication between CSTC and client stakeholders, proactively addressing concerns and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery.
Staff Engagement, Retention & Satisfaction
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
• Implement initiatives to recognize team achievements and support professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in high-volume recruitment, within the education or nonprofit sectors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of business strategy, revenue growth, and profitability principles.
• Proven experience in managing KPIs, team metrics, and achieving performance goals.
• Experience in creating and managing departmental budgets.
• Exceptional client management and stakeholder engagement skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams
• Strong proficiency in the use of Excel, Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional skills with MS Excel, data organization, and MS PowerPoint presentation.
COMPENSATION:
- Salary Range $130,000 - $140,000
This is the targeted compensation for the position. A range of factors, including but not limited to; location, skills, experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
