Director of Stewardship - Miracle Hill Ministries

Miracle Hill Ministries is South Carolina's largest and most comprehensive provider of homeless services. At our core, we exist to serve people experiencing homelessness-physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We share the Good News of Jesus with them as they move toward independence, stability, and healthy relationships.

Summary/Purpose of Position:

Manage and cultivate new and existing major donor relationships while providing strategy and oversight for the Major Gifts Program. Work with the Development Controller to ensure healthy stewardship of first-time donors and sustaining donors through strategic portfolio management. Manage annual corporate sponsorship campaigns. Provide direct oversight of Stewardship Officers and grant writer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• The primary function of this role is to cultivate and maintain major donor relationships. (125+ donors)
• Provide direct oversight of the Stewardship Team.
• Work directly with Chief Development Officer to formulate and implement a strategy for all individuals carrying major donor portfolios.
• Manage event sponsorship and underwriting processes.
• Manage solicitation of the capital needs list.
• With the Chief Development Officer, build and execute capital campaign strategies for capital projects.
• Provide direct oversight to Grant Writer.

• Good knowledge of, and operation according to, MHM's Ethical Code of Fundraising and Financial Accountability policy and confidentiality policy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience in field.
• Good knowledge of generating donor support and creatively implementing major gift models and strategies.
• Experience with and working knowledge of Raiser's Edge preferred.

License/Certification:

• Valid SC Driver's License with clean record, able to be added to MH insurance.
